Magnetometer Data of 1 minute rate

Induction magnetometer data( Dynamic spectra) from new sites(Borok,Mondy,Gakona,Uzur)

Welcome to our open data place for STEP program (refer NOAA) and generally for magnetoshperic and auroral physics. The data served here are mostly acquired from an extended scale of network "STEP Polar Network" which we conducted in the norther polar region since 1991. Other data obtained in several times of campaign observations before STEP period are and will be also compiled. The main resources during STEP period came from fluxgate and induction magnetometers and all-sky TV cameras deployed in the norther polar region, primarily in Canada and also in Svalbard and in Greenland. This service is still experimental level and please call us if you find any problem.

Readme files, location files (Maps and tables). and directories for daily files ( 1 minute data; non avraged binary) and for stacked plots of daily magnetograms ( Postscript.gz ).

Induction magnetometer data

Daily spectrograms of JPEG file are stored but this service is still in experimental level. Listing daily files of 1 min fluxgate data you will find available periods of induction data for sites where both types of magnetometers are operated (see Tables or Maps in the fluxgate data).

Aurora Data, typical pictures=>

Maps in Postscript files. Houly synoptic auroral activity is listed for respective campaign period in which all-sky TV data is available. Image data samples are given by jpeg or gif format.

Here, auroras now at Longyearbyen, Svarbard, Norway, are watchable in dark season.
